The Holstein cattle breed is one of the most important dairy breeds in the world. It is generally the synonym for the high-performance dairy cow. Holstein Friesians and Red Holsteins are high performance cows of the milk type. The aim is the profitable, long-lived high performance cow. The prerequisites for this are good adaptability, a large basic feed and dry matter intake capacity, stable health, good fertility and a good foundation.
The functional, very easy to milk udders allow high daily production rates over many lactations and meet the requirements of modern milking technology.
